Build 

Since 2009, I have been building robots for FIRST challenges, winning 40+ awards including the 2012 Massachusetts FLL State Championship winning the FTC World Championship in 2018. I am the Captain, Head Robot Designer/Builder, and programmer for The Brainstormers FTC Team (FTC 8644).

Working as an intern at Build-It-Yourself, and educational-toolkit company, I redesigned the module-based Lego constructopedia that was originally designed by Mitch Resnick at the MIT Media Lab for the new NXT and EV3 systems. I created a new series of gangable mechanical units, forming an online building dictionary that accounts for 33% of the Build-It-Yourself revenue. 

Working for Michael Lin in the City of the Future Group, I turned scale drawings of multiple personal electrical vehicle concepts into working 1/4 scale prototypes using Legos and laser-cut wood. This required the design of extremely compact suspension systems as shown in the photo. The prototypes were used in MIT Media Lab Member Days to illustrate concepts to sponsors.
